    Yes, our team is made up of certified BPPG APPN instructors and a diving club director.
    Where is Marquises Diving located?
    In Atuona, on Hiva Oa Island, in the Marquesas Islands (French Polynesia).
    Do I need to book in advance?
    Yes, especially during the high season (May to November). Places are limited.
    Can I pay on site?
    Yes, in cash (XPF), by credit card, or local check.
    Do you offer packages with accommodation?
    Not yet, but it’s planned! We can recommend accommodations.

    Can you dive without knowing how to swim?
    No, you must be comfortable in the water. We offer introductory dives, but swimming is essential.
    Can you dive without certification?
    Yes, thanks to supervised introductory dives suitable for beginners.
    Do you offer night dives?
    Yes, depending on weather and conditions. A magical experience guaranteed!
    Do you offer snorkeling?
    Yes, as part of the "IMMERSION Ocean & Traditions" excursions or upon request.
    How much does a dive cost?
    From €165 for two dives (equipment included). See the "Services" page.
    Is the equipment included?
    Yes: wetsuits, tanks, BCDs, etc.
    Can I rent a 15-liter tank?
    Yes, upon request.

  • Organization & Schedule

    Do you work on Sundays?
    Yes, we are open every day.
    What is a typical day like?
    It depends on the chosen package: welcome – briefing – boat trip (2 dives with or without excursion).
    What time does the day start?
    Usually between 7:30 and 8:00 am, depending on the weather.
    How many people per trip?
    Small groups: 4 to 6 divers maximum for safety and comfort. We can go up to 10 divers if needed.

  • Weather & Season

    Can you dive all year round?
    Yes, but the best season is from May to November.
    What happens in case of bad weather?
    Trips may be rescheduled or canceled (refund or rescheduling possible).
    What is the water temperature?
    Between 26°C and 29°C all year round.

  • Logistics & Transport

    Do you offer a pick-up service?
    Yes, free in the Atuona & Tahauku areas. Outside these areas: to be arranged individually.
    How do I get to Hiva Oa?
    By plane via Tahiti + a stopover in Nuku Hiva or directly depending on the airline.
    Can you dive the day before or after a flight?
    Yes, the day before a local flight is possible if the flight is around 11 am. Not for international flights. The next day: yes, under certain conditions (rest time required).

  • Accessibility & Comfort

    Do you accept beginners or anxious people?
    Yes, our team is trained to gently support all levels.
    What type of wetsuits do you use?
    Short and long, 3 mm, adapted to the local temperature.
    Can non-divers join the excursions?
    Yes! We offer "companion" packages with snorkeling, sightseeing, and meals onboard.
    Do you provide snacks or meals?
    Yes, included in our packages. Traditional menus, not vegan.
    Do you organize trips to Tahuata?
    Yes, upon request or during combined trips (OCEAN immersion + culture).
